The 19th China Road Lighting Forum, focusing on creating green and smart cities, will be held in March.
The 19th China Road Lighting Forum, organized by the China Illuminating Engineering Society and the Smart Street Lighting Professional Committee of the China Illuminating Engineering Society, in collaboration with Beijing Tongtai International Exhibition Co., Ltd., will be held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province from March 26th to 28th, 2024. During the conference, a special issue of "China Lighting" on road lighting will also be published.
The society expressed that as the lighting industry enters a new stage of high-quality development, driven by market demand and innovation, it is crucial to accelerate the deep integration of new generation information technology and the industry, and enhance the intrinsic driving force for innovative development. "Efficiency, energy conservation, environmental protection, low carbon, and intelligence" are the trends of the era in the lighting industry. In order to better implement the national dual carbon strategy and the acceleration of smart city construction, the 19th China Road Lighting Forum will be themed as "Illuminating Smart Cities, Assisting Green Development." The forum invites government leaders from various levels of urban construction/lighting urban planning, municipal management, energy supply, and technology promotion; leaders of urban/road lighting management offices, institutes, and construction clients; experts and scholars engaged in urban/road lighting research, testing, standards, and certification institutions; chief engineers of municipal and transportation design institutes and related units, as well as electrical lighting managers of large-scale road engineering projects; general managers, chief engineers, and designers of urban/road lighting engineering companies; general managers, chief engineers, and R&D engineers of urban/road lighting product and equipment manufacturing enterprises; and leaders of relevant industry associations, societies, and chambers of commerce.
During the forum, participants will analyze smart city and urban lighting construction, management related policies, and new regulations, and conduct industry summaries and prospects. They will engage in academic exchanges and discussions on topics such as "Unified planning of road lighting and city night lighting and its integration with smart cities," "Road lighting design, selection, and application of intelligent technologies," "Application research of road lighting products in road engineering projects," and "Luminaire design standards for road lighting, implementation issues, and solutions." Additionally, the forum will showcase outstanding domestic and international road lighting engineering cases, as well as the dynamic trends of international road lighting standards and technological developments. Furthermore, the forum will introduce new technologies and products of road lighting enterprises through technical discussions and interactive dialogues.
It is worth noting that since its establishment in 2005, the "China Road Lighting Forum," organized by the China Illuminating Engineering Society, has successfully held 18 sessions, playing an active role in promoting technological innovation, energy conservation and emission reduction, and industrial upgrading in the field of road lighting.
