551 companies are exhibiting at the 135th Canton Fair, showcasing a total of 3505 lighting products
On April 15, the 135th China Import and Export Fair (also known as the Canton Fair) opened offline in Guangzhou. The exhibition area of this session of the Canton Fair is 1.55 million square meters, with 28,600 companies participating in the export exhibition, including over 4,300 new participating companies; 680 companies participated in the import exhibition.
Of particular interest to the lighting industry is the information revealed by Zhongzhaowang on the official website of the Canton Fair, indicating that a total of 551 lighting companies showcased 3,505 lighting products at this session of the Canton Fair, with 57 exhibiting companies showcasing 202 products offline. Compared to previous sessions of the Canton Fair, both the number of participating lighting companies and the number of exhibited lighting products have decreased. In particular, the decrease in the number of exhibited lighting products has exceeded 80%. This decline reflects the concerns of national lighting enterprises towards the global economic environment amidst ongoing international geopolitical and economic conflicts, leading to a cautious stance on exporting products.
However, it is worth noting that this session of the Canton Fair saw the participation of 20 lighting companies that had not participated in previous sessions. Although this number is about 60% lower than the previous session, it at least confirms that some companies still hold positive views on the foreign trade market.
In terms of product categories, all exhibited lighting products at this session of the Canton Fair cover 1,632 general lighting fixtures, 1,269 LED fixtures, 222 bulbs/tubes, 96 lighting accessories, 174 emergency and safety lighting products, 6 entertainment and stage lighting products, and 107 other lighting products. The quantities of all types of lighting products have decreased to varying degrees compared to previous sessions.
Looking at specific product subcategories, general lighting fixtures include hot products such as smart home lighting fixtures, solar lighting fixtures, study desk lamps, and portable lighting fixtures; while other lighting products encompass emerging lighting subcategories such as UV sterilization, plant lighting, and film and television lighting.
Among all exhibited lighting products, 961 are new products, 1,062 are green and low-carbon products, and 468 are smart lighting products. New products and green low-carbon products each account for over 27% and 30% of the total number of exhibited lighting products, meeting the purchasing needs of domestic and foreign buyers amidst the current trends in the lighting industry.
Furthermore, in terms of corporate strength, despite the lower number of participating lighting companies in this session of the Canton Fair compared to the previous one, notable companies include listed lighting enterprises such as Guangdong Xiaoxiong Technology Co., Ltd., Foshan Electrical Lighting Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Minbao Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Sunshine Lighting Electrical Group Co., Ltd., Guangdong Jiuliang Co., Ltd., Xiamen Xinda Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Jufei Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., Huarong Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Xingguang Development Co., Ltd., as well as listed lighting company subsidiaries like Suzhou Opple Lighting Co., Ltd., Changfang Group Kangmingsheng (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., and Ruijin Debang Lighting Co., Ltd.
Throughout the exhibition period, various participating lighting companies at this session of the Canton Fair will gradually showcase their products and brand images. In the current sluggish global foreign trade market environment, the national lighting industry still hopes that the participating lighting companies at this session of the Canton Fair can achieve ideal product promotion results and looks forward to more and more lighting companies taking the global development stage through future Canton Fair platforms.
