The conference was presided over by Qu Weitian, the Chief Designer and Senior Lighting Designer of Guangzhou Light Key Design Co., Ltd.
At the outset of the conference, Ding Yungao, the President of the Guangdong Lighting Appliance Association and the General Manager of the China Lighting Network, delivered a speech. He mentioned that in 2023, China's lighting output value accounted for 67% of the world's total lighting output value, demonstrating global recognition of China's lighting industry.
In 2024, the high-quality development of the lighting industry necessitates a focus on quality as the foundation, actively breaking through traditional thinking, and promoting growth through cross-sector integration. This forum aims to provide a broader cooperation platform for lighting peers to share and build upon.
The Secretary-General of the Tourism Industry Association of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Night Tourism Professional Committee, He Haitao, delivered a speech. He emphasized that we are in an era of rapid development of light and shadow technology and digital economy.
It is crucial to keep pace with the national strategic development, lead the high-quality development of night tourism economy with innovation, stimulate the vitality of nighttime cultural and tourism consumption, promote the coordinated development of nighttime culture and tourism economy, extend the industrial chain, and enhance the value chain.
At this forum, seven distinguished guests were invited to deliver keynote speeches, offering attendees a comprehensive insight into various industries.
The Deputy President of the Guangdong Tourism Association and an expert in tourism planning and design at the Guangdong Academy of Social Sciences, Chen Nanjiang, delivered a presentation on the topic of "The Full-time Use and Integration of Light and Shadow Technology".
In his presentation, he elaborated on the evolution and progress of lighting technology, from early urban lighting to light shows, and now to immersive amusement experiences, emphasizing that this evolution is a manifestation of new productive forces. He cited successful night economy projects such as Zhanjiang Buli Cultural and Creative Market and Chengdu Luhu Food Island as examples, combining popular commercial trends such as internet celebrity economy and night economy to create multi-dimensional immersive internet-famous destinations.
Following the theme of "trendy social gathering places", he aimed to establish a sense of shared emotions in the "daytime coffee and nighttime wine" social circle.
The cultural and tourism director/visual artist, and executive director of the Professional Committee of Night Tourism of the All-China Tourism Business Association, Ma Bo, delivered a presentation on "The Boundless Integration and Exploration of Digital Light and Shadow."
Using examples from his "Harmony of All Things" series, "White Deer Plain at Night," and "Dreams of Gan River Poetry," he discussed the necessity for "integration and exploration" of the boundary sense of "digital light and shadow" in different spatial environments. He noted that with the diversified development of the cultural and tourism market, the application scenarios of integrating "digital light and shadow" are continuously enriching, while the sense of boundaries is gradually fading.
Creators must innovate integration by focusing on two core aspects: the creative and conceptual level, and the formal and technical level, gradually weakening the sense of boundaries. By utilizing innovative thinking, advanced technology and methods, in combination with the local cultural essence, one can create iconic projects with themes, cultural significance, multidimensionality, complete immersion, and comfort.
Professor Deng Biwen, Associate Professor of the School of Cross-media Art at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, delivered a presentation on "Interdisciplinarity and Integration - The Digital Aesthetics in the Concept of Science and Art."
He provided an overview of the current global landscape of science and art, showcasing the development and application of artificial intelligence in digital art through outstanding AI-produced videos on topics such as science and art exhibitions, collaborative interactions in new media art, and cross-species genetic visual experiments in bio-art.
This presentation brought a visual feast of technological light and shadow to the attendees. Additionally, Professor Deng introduced a variety of exceptional artificial intelligence software systems to the audience.
The Director General Zhao Jianhua of the "Chinese Symbols" project under the Publicity Department shared a report on "The New Quality of Cultural and Tourism Visual Planning and Content Upgrade in the AI Era."
In his presentation, he discussed how, in the wave of AI, the future of content creation shines with limitless possibilities. AI not only enhances the efficiency of creation but also stimulates human creativity, transcending language and culture to connect talents globally and create personalized, cross-cultural experiences.
We are moving towards an innovative era of human-machine collaboration, where this age not only diversifies and deepens content, but also provides a platform for everyone to create. Faced with the opportunities and challenges brought by AI, let us collectively drive the healthy development of technology, so that the future of AI content creation is not only promising but also brilliant.

He discussed the recent intensive introduction of national and local cultural tourism policies in recent years, with regions across the country vigorously developing the cultural tourism night tour industry. The cultural tourism night tour industry should focus on creating local intellectual property (IP) and driving the development of night tour economy.
He also presented several successful cultural tourism night tour cases in Xi'an, elaborating on the complete cycle model of lighting, new scenes, night economy, and commercial and operational integration.
