Performance Specifications for Road and Street Lighting Fixtures
This standard specifies the basic requirements, product classification, technical requirements, and test methods for road and street lighting fixtures using electric light sources with a power supply voltage not exceeding 1000V. It is applicable to road and street lighting fixtures used in urban roads and streets (hereinafter referred to as "fixtures"), but not to tunnel lighting fixtures.

This standard document replaces GB/T 24827—2015 "Performance Requirements for Road and Street Lighting  Fixtures". Compared to GB/T 24827—2015, the main technical changes are as follows: revisions to "General Requirements"; addition of "Effective Luminous Flux Classification"; modifications to "Performance Grade Classification"; addition of "Applicable Working Conditions, Fixture Efficacy, Luminous Flux Maintenance Rate, Photometric Performance, Chromaticity Parameters, Surge Protection, Durability, Weather Resistance, Maintainability, Replaceability and Adjustability, Environmental Friendliness"; deletion of "Inspection Rules"; addition of "Test Method for the Percentage of Renewable Materials in Fixture Weight".

The revised standard introduces performance indicators for road and street lighting fixtures, including efficacy, luminous flux maintenance rate, photometric performance, chromaticity, durability, weather resistance, and maintainability. This comprehensive showcase of the performance characteristics of road and street lighting fixtures provides a basis for scientific and objective evaluation, offers standard support for manufacturing enterprises and testing units, enhances the quality level of the industry, and ensures the public can access high-quality road and street lighting fixtures.

Performance Specifications for LED Fixtures for Tunnel Lighting
This standard specifies the performance requirements for tunnel lighting fixtures (hereinafter referred to as "fixtures") using LEDs as the light source and powered by a voltage not exceeding 1000V. It applies to fixtures providing lighting for urban and mountain tunnel roadways but does not apply to fixtures providing emergency lighting for tunnel roadways.

This standard replaces GB/T 32481-2016 "Performance Requirements for LED Tunnel Lighting Fixtures." Compared with GB/T 32481-2016, the main technical changes are as follows: the deletion of type C fixtures, the addition of power factor requirements, the addition of corrosion resistance requirements, and the classification of fixture performance levels.

The revised standard will comprehensively assess various performance characteristics of LED tunnel lights, provide a basis for scientifically and objectively evaluating the performance characteristics of road and street lighting fixtures, offer standard support for manufacturing enterprises and testing units, improve industry quality levels, and create a safer and more comfortable tunnel lighting environment.

Performance of Luminaires Part 1: General Requirements
This standard document includes performance and environmental requirements for luminaires using electric light sources with a power supply voltage not exceeding 1000V. The performance data within the scope of this standard applies to newly manufactured, representative luminaires that have completed the specified initial aging process. The standard also sets requirements for energy-efficient use and environmentally sound management at the end of the luminaire's life.

The purpose of this standard document is to provide a set of requirements generally applicable to most types of luminaires. Additional performance requirements for special types of light sources are specified in the series of standards in Part 2. The Part 2 series also covers a broader range of special light source technologies. Semi-luminaires are not covered by this document. For certain types of luminaires (such as decorative or household), the performance parameters specified in the standard do not apply.

This standard document replaces GB/T 31897.1—2015 "Luminaires Performance Part 1: General Requirements." Compared to GB/T 31897.1—2015, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, it adds two terms—standby mode and network standby mode—as well as references and methods for measuring power consumption in non-primary function modes. It also updates the representative light source figures in Appendix C.

The standard document also modifies and adopts IEC 62722-1:2022 "Luminaires Performance Part 1: General Requirements." In terms of technical differences and reasons, compared with IEC 62722-1:2022, it replaces IEC 60598-1, IEC 60598-2, and IEC 60598-2-22 with GB/T 7000.1, GB/T 7000.2, and GB/T 7000.222, respectively, to adapt to China's technical conditions and increase operability.

The revised standard, once implemented, sets requirements for the performance indicators of luminaires, including efficiency, photometry, electrical parameters, and environmental aspects. It allows for a comprehensive display of luminaire performance characteristics, provides a basis for scientifically and objectively evaluating luminaire performance characteristics, supports manufacturing enterprises and testing units with standards, enhances safety and environmental protection, improves the quality level of the industry, and ensures that the public can obtain high-quality luminaires.

Performance of Luminaires Part 2-1: Specific Requirements for LED Luminaires
This standard specifies performance requirements, test methods, and conditions for LED luminaires used in general lighting. It does not cover partial luminaires. For certain luminaires, such as decorative or household luminaires, the performance data requirements specified in this document do not apply. The LED luminaires in this standard include Type A: luminaires using LED modules that indicate compliance with GB/T 24823, and Type B: luminaires using LED modules that do not indicate compliance with GB/T 24823. Luminaires using LED lamps are covered by GB/T 31897.1 and are not within the scope of this document.

The requirements of this document only involve type testing, covering LED luminaires using LED modules based on inorganic LED technology emitting white light, and do not involve luminaires using OLED (organic LED). In most cases, the lifespan of LED luminaires is much longer than feasible test times, so this document does not verify the manufacturer’s lifespan claims but instead uses a limited test period for lumen maintenance rate as a substitute. In this document, the grade numbers do not predict achievable lifespan; they represent lumen maintenance levels, reflecting consistency with the information provided by the manufacturer before testing.

This document replaces GB/T 31897.201-2016 "Performance of Luminaires Part 2: Specific Requirements for LED Luminaires". Compared with GB/T 31897.201-2016, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, it deletes Type C luminaires and the term "LED luminaire family", adds terms like "effective lifespan" and "sudden failure rate", general requirements, modifies temperature requirements for lumen maintenance tests, and includes expanded calculation and testing methods for electrical and photometric parameters.

This document should be used together with GB/T 31897.1-202X "Performance of Luminaires Part 1: General Requirements" and is modified based on IEC 62722-2-1:2023 "Performance of Luminaires Part 2-1: Specific Requirements for LED Luminaires". Compared with IEC 62722-2-1:2023, in terms of technical differences and their reasons, this document replaces IEC 60598-1, IEC 60598-2-3, IEC 60598-2-5, IEC 62031:2018, and IEC 62717 with the normatively referenced GB/T 7000.1, GB 7000.203, GB/T 7000.205, GB/T 24819-2023, and GB/T 24823 to adapt to China's technical conditions, enhancing operability.

This standard sets performance indicators for LED luminaires, including input power, photometric performance, color coordinates, correlated color temperature, color rendering index, and lifespan. Its revision and release provide a comprehensive showcase of the performance characteristics of LED luminaires, offering a basis for the scientific and objective evaluation of lighting LED luminaires' performance characteristics. It provides standard support for manufacturing enterprises and testing units, enhances safety and environmental protection, improves industry quality levels, and ensures the public can obtain high-quality lighting luminaires.

Additionally, the revision of this standard has added expanded calculation and testing methods for electrical and photometric parameters, providing manufacturers and laboratories with a more convenient way to obtain LED luminaire performance indicators.
